Leave reminders and the "who is affected" preview (newer notices)

Reminders sent the day before leave starts and ends, and the reviewer preview of sessions and colleagues affected.

Written by Liam Radford

These are available in workspaces that have the newer session and notice features, which are being switched on in stages.

Reminders for the person on leave

The day before approved leave starts, and the day before it ends, Rosterr sends you an in-app notification and a push (under the Leave category). You can switch Leave pings off in Notifications.

Each reminder is sent only once. If leave was already less than a day away when the feature was switched on, you still get the reminder that is still due.

Admins: reminders need a scheduled job to run about once an hour. If reminders never arrive, ask the Nebula team that it is set up.

The preview for reviewers

On a pending request, See who this affects shows:

  1. the sessions the person will be taken off (this has always happened when leave is approved, but silently), and

  2. who else is away on the same dates, with the share of the team that would be away.

"How full is each session" badges

Each session row shows how full it is, for example 3/5 filled: red when nobody is in it, amber when partly filled, green when full. It counts roles against people, so it shows how full a session is, not who actually turned up.
