Edit, copy, end or cancel a session

How to change a session's name, time, host or roles, change a repeating schedule, end a session early, and delete one or the whole series.

Written by Liam Radford

Edit one session

Open the session and choose Edit. You can change the name, date and time, length, session type, statuses, and roles. You need Manage ... sessions for that kind of session. Other changes have their own permissions:

  • Change the host: people who can assign or claim that kind of session.

  • Add a tag: Assign tag to ... sessions.

  • Notes: Add notes to ... sessions.

  • Change a session after it has finished: Edit concluded ... sessions.

Edit a repeating schedule

When you edit a repeating session you can choose to change this session only or this and future sessions. Changing the time of the pattern moves the following sessions. Times are in your own time zone.

End a session

A session in progress can be ended. This stops it and marks it finished.

Delete a session

  • Delete one session: "Session deleted successfully".

  • Delete the whole series: "All sessions in series deleted successfully".

Deleting cannot be undone.

Copy a session (newer feature)

On workspaces with the newer session tools, choose Copy beside a session to make another with the same name, kind, type, length and tag at a new time. By default it is the same time a week later, or any date you choose. The copy is a one-off with nobody in it. You need permission to create that kind of session, and the new time must be in the future and within a year.

Session notes

Notes are free text attached to a session (for example "Two trainees passed"). People with notes permission can add them. Each note shows who wrote it and when.
