Upgrade, downgrade or cancel your plan

How to start a subscription, change plan or cancel, why you cannot do it in the iPhone app, and who can see billing.

Written by Liam Radford

Who can do it

Workspace admins. Billing is under Settings > Plan & billing.

Do it on the website

Plans are managed on the Rosterr website. You cannot buy or change a plan inside the iPhone app (that is an Apple rule), and the apps hide the plan list. The app shows: "Plans are managed on the Nebula Rosterr website. Sign in in your browser to change or cancel your plan."

Start a subscription

  1. Open Settings > Plan & billing on the website.

  2. Choose Pro (or Business, when available).

  3. You go to a secure Stripe checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe. Rosterr never sees your card details.

  4. Pro starts with a 30-day free trial on your workspace's first subscription. Business is billed from day one.

Change or cancel

Choose Manage billing to open the billing portal, where you can change plan, update your card, see invoices or cancel.

  • When a subscription is cancelled or ends, the workspace drops to Free. The billing portal shows the exact date your subscription ends.

  • If you downgrade, anything above the new limits stays but you cannot create more (see "What happens when a plan lapses or you go back to Free").

What happens if a payment fails

A workspace whose subscription is cancelled, past due or unpaid is treated as Free straight away. Paid features pause. Nothing is deleted. Fix the payment in the billing portal to restore it.

The usage view

Billing also shows how many of each thing you have used (quotas, session types, views, API keys) against your plan's limits.

Questions about invoices or refunds

Contact support from Help and Support. Refunds and ownership changes are handled by Nebula staff with approval.
