Business plan: your own domain, your own Discord bot and white label

How the three Business features work: a custom web address, your own Discord bot, and removing Nebula Rosterr's branding.

Written by Liam Radford

The Business plan (£9.99 a month per workspace) adds three things on top of Pro. All three are checked every time they are used, so a workspace that drops to Free has them paused or switched off without anything being deleted.

1. Your own domain

Serve your workspace at your own address, such as staff.yourgroup.com.

Set it up

Open Settings > Custom domain (admins).

  1. Type the domain. Use a subdomain you control such as staff.yourgroup.com or www.yourgroup.com.

  2. Add the DNS records shown (a CNAME, plus TXT records while ownership is checked and the certificate is issued).

  3. Wait until it shows Live.

If the panel says it is not set up on this server, the Nebula team has not configured custom domains yet.

What it does

  • On your domain, only your workspace can be reached. Other workspaces, the workspace list and the public API are not available there.

  • Sign-in is handed back from the main Rosterr address (Discord and Roblox only allow their own registered addresses), and only members of your workspace can get in. Everyone else sees "You're not a member of this workspace".

  • Signing out on your domain does not sign you out of the main address.

  • Adding or removing a domain takes up to about 30 seconds to show.

2. Your own Discord bot

Use your own bot name and avatar for the staff DMs and slash commands. See "Add the Nebula Rosterr Discord bot to your server".

3. White label (remove Nebula Rosterr branding)

Open Settings > General > Branding and switch on Remove Nebula Rosterr branding. Your workspace already uses your group's name, logo and chosen colour. White label also removes the Nebula Rosterr name and mark, the help button (and with it the bug report, changelog and abuse links), the support chat, the page title prefix and the Nebula welcome text, so it looks like your own tool. It applies to everyone in the workspace, on every address.

The legal copyright notices of the open-source projects Rosterr is built on stay in the sidebar's Copyright Notices dialog: they are not ours to remove.

If your plan drops

  • The domain stops serving the workspace. Your records are kept.

  • White label switches off.

  • Your bot is paused.
