Goals explained (team and personal targets with a deadline)

How goals differ from quotas, what they measure, how status works, and who can create them.

Written by Liam Radford

A goal is a target with a start and end date, tracked live from activity and sessions. It is different from a quota: a quota repeats every period, a goal is a one-off with a deadline. A goal can be for the whole team or for one member.

What a goal can measure

  • Minutes active

  • Sessions hosted

  • Sessions attended

  • Sessions logged

Team and personal goals

  • Team goal: everyone's progress is added together, for example "the team reaches 10,000 minutes this quarter".

  • Personal goal: set for one named person (you search for them by Roblox username).

Dates

Pick a start date and an end date. A goal can last at most 366 days.

Status

Status

Meaning

Upcoming

The start date has not arrived

Active

In progress and the deadline has not passed

Achieved

The target has been reached (this counts even before the end date)

Missed

The deadline has passed without reaching the target

Who can create goals

People with Manage goals ("Creates, edits and removes goals"). Everyone with access to the Goals page can see them.

Notifications

When a personal goal is set for someone by another person, they are told by a notification and a Discord DM. Goals you set for yourself, and team goals, do not send messages. Use /goals in Discord to see yours and the team's.

Goals and quotas together

Use quotas for the expectation that never changes ("every week, 60 minutes"), and goals for specific pushes ("host 20 trainings this month").
