When you apply for early access, there is a box that says "Keep me updated with product news and tips by email." It is ticked by default. It controls whether Rosterr sends you product news and tips (new features, tips, welcome messages).
Change your mind later
Open the bell menu and switch Get product news by email on or off. The change takes effect straight away.
What the setting does and does not cover
Turning it off stops product news and marketing emails.
It does not stop essential messages needed to run your account or workspace, such as security or billing messages from Stripe.
It has nothing to do with your Rosterr Mail inbox. That is a separate feature (see "Mail: what it is and how email addresses work").
It does not affect pings or Discord DMs, which have their own switches (see "Notifications and pings: the bell, phone alerts and what you can switch off").
Where the email address comes from
Rosterr does not ask you for an email address of its own. If news emails are sent, they use the email on your linked Discord account. If your Discord account has no email, or your account has been blocked or banned, nothing is sent.
