Mail gives every member of a workspace an email address and an inbox inside Rosterr. You can write to colleagues and to anyone on the internet, receive email, and use shared inboxes (such as hr@ or support@) that several people read together.
Your address
Your address looks like:
<your Roblox username>.<workspace short name>@rosterr.cc
For example [email protected]. The part after the dot is the workspace's short name (its slug), chosen by an admin when Mail was turned on. Roblox names cannot contain dots, so the last dot always separates the two. Capital letters and a "+tag" are ignored.
Shared inboxes work the same way, with a name instead of a username: [email protected].
Before you can use it
A workspace admin must turn Mail on first. Until then, mail sent to the workspace is refused and the Mail page asks an admin to set it up (see "Turn on Mail for your workspace (admins): short name, sender name, signature and rules").
Some workspaces limit Mail to people at a minimum rank. If you are below it you see "Mail needs a higher rank: why you see it and what an admin can do" (see "Mail needs a higher rank: why you see it and what an admin can do").
You never have to set up your own mailbox. It is made for you when you first open Mail, or just before someone emails you.
What you can do
Read, reply, reply all, forward, star, archive and delete email.
Write new email with To, Cc and Bcc, formatting, attachments, drafts, undo send and send later.
Search the whole inbox, use labels and filters, and set an out-of-office reply.
Share an inbox with a team and work on it like a help desk.
Get a Discord DM when new email arrives (optional, per inbox).
See the other Mail articles for each.
What you cannot do
You cannot sign in to the mail server with a normal email program (such as Outlook or Apple Mail). Mail works inside Rosterr, on the website and in the phone apps.
You cannot change your address's short name. It is the same for the whole workspace and is permanent.
Phones
The apps show your inbox and the same conversation view. HTML emails are shown as plain text on phones.
