These features are for workspaces that have the newer Mail, which is being switched on workspace by workspace. If you do not see them, your workspace has not received them yet.
Who is who: pictures and ranks
Every email in the list and the conversation shows who sent it: a workspace member's Roblox picture, name and rank (the rank they had when they sent it for mail sent from Rosterr), or a coloured initial for an outside sender. The Address list and the To suggestions show them too.
Formatted emails, shown safely
An email that arrives with a formatted (HTML) version is shown formatted, with View as plain text one click away. It is made safe twice:
On arrival it is cleaned: scripts, forms, frames, style sheets, anything positioned over the page, and every link that is not http, https, mailto or tel are removed. Links open in a new tab.
On screen it is shown in a frame that cannot run scripts or reach the rest of Rosterr.
Pictures from the web are hidden until you choose Show pictures, so a sender cannot tell that, or when, you opened the email. An email too big to clean (over 300 KB) shows its plain text. Phones show the plain text.
Format your own emails
The Aa button in the compose window gives bold, italic, links, bullet and numbered lists and quotes. The text stays readable as typed (for example **bold**, _italic_, [words](https://...), - item, 1. item, > quote). You never write HTML, and only http and https links work. It is off by default.
Not delivered
When the other mail server sends an email back later (the address does not exist, the mailbox is full), Rosterr recognises it and marks your email Not delivered with the reason. It shows in your inbox until you have looked at it, then stays in Sent with the reason. Delay warnings are ignored.
Blocked senders and Report spam
In Settings you can block a sender: email from a blocked address is thrown away when it arrives and the sender is not told. Report spam (the octagon button on a conversation) blocks the sender and moves it to the trash. Anyone who can read the inbox can block senders, and the list is shared in a shared inbox.
Saved replies
The speech-bubble button in compose inserts saved replies: reusable text with the same placeholders as signatures, filled in for the person writing. Anyone who can read the inbox can add and delete them (up to 100 per inbox).
Lowest rank and the new allowance
Admins can limit Mail to a lowest rank (see "Mail needs a higher rank: why you see it and what an admin can do"), and the daily limit for emailing new people follows the rules in "Mail sending limits: how many people you can email each day".
