A policy is a document your workspace requires you to read and agree to. Rosterr records that you agreed, and when. This is the acknowledgement. Policies are different from guides: a guide is something you may read, a policy is something you must agree to.
Policies are off by default. An admin switches them on under Settings > Features.
Find the policies you need to agree to
A notification banner appears when you have policies waiting, and the bell shows a count.
Open Docs > Policies (the Policies page). The dashboard shows Pending Acknowledgments, any marked Urgent Action Required, Training documents, and your Acknowledged Policies. When everything is done it says "All Caught Up!".
Anyone you share a direct link with can open the policy's page too (you still have to sign in).
Read and agree
Open the policy.
Read it. It is shown in one of three ways:
Written in Rosterr: read the text.
An attached file: open or download it.
An external document: open the link in a new tab. You must visit the external document before you can acknowledge the policy.
Choose Acknowledge This Policy and complete the method the policy asks for (see "How you agree to a policy (signature, username, typed word or tick box)").
You see "Policy acknowledged successfully". The policy moves to Acknowledged.
If you have already agreed it says "You have already acknowledged this policy. Thank you for your compliance."
Deadlines
A policy can have a deadline. You are shown if it is due today or soon and, if you miss it, "Overdue by N days". You can still agree after the deadline.
Training documents
A policy can be marked a Training Document. These are shown under Training on your dashboard.
Who has to agree
Each policy is assigned to everyone, or to chosen roles and departments. You only see the policies assigned to you. A policy assigned to everyone includes people who join or get a role after it was written.
Phones
You can read and acknowledge policies in the iPhone and Android apps. The apps record the acknowledgement when you tap to acknowledge. Typed-word and signature checks are done by the website.
Your record
Your acknowledgement stays on record. If you later delete your account, the record is kept anonymously as "Deleted User", so the workspace's compliance history stays complete.
