Mass actions on the Staff page (promote, warn, terminate, award minutes)

How to apply one action to many selected members at once, including the Discord options for terminations.

Written by Liam Radford

If you have the Use mass actions permission, selecting people on the Staff page shows an action bar with the count of people selected and these buttons:

Button

What it does

Promote

Records a promotion for everyone selected (and ranks them, if the ranking integration is connected and you may use it)

Warn

Records a warning for everyone selected

Terminate

Records a termination for everyone selected

Award Minutes

Adds minutes to everyone selected

Remove Minutes

Removes minutes from everyone selected

Each action opens a box asking for the reason (or the number of minutes) before you confirm.

Discord options

When you promote, warn or terminate, you can tick Notify users via Discord DM. It sends Discord direct messages to everyone affected and needs linked Bloxlink accounts (see "Connect Bloxlink (Discord messages for logbook actions)").

For terminations there are also Discord Server Actions: Kick from Discord server or Ban from Discord server, and a choice of how much message history to delete (or Don't delete messages).

Safety rules

The same rules apply as for the logbook:

  • You cannot act on yourself.

  • You cannot act on people of equal or higher rank than you, unless you are a workspace admin.

  • Promotion, demotion and termination need the matching logbook permission; ranking in Roblox needs Logbook: use ranking integration.

Each person is processed separately, as if you had done it one at a time. If one person fails a check (for example they outrank you), you see an error, but the others may already have been done. Check the logbook afterwards.

Good practice

  • Double-check your selection before confirming.

  • Terminate is hard to undo, and rank changes happen in Roblox itself.

  • Use a clear reason: it is stored in each person's logbook.
