An activity period is the stretch of time over which everyone's activity and quotas are counted. When you reset, the current period ends and a fresh one starts.
Who can reset
Workspace admins, and people with the Reset activity permission.
What a reset does
Rosterr asks you to confirm, because it will:
Save all current activity data to history,
Clear all current activity metrics,
Start a fresh activity period.
Everyone starts again from zero. The numbers you had are not lost: they are kept as the last period (and in older history).
A reset is all or nothing. If something fails part-way, nothing changes, so no one's minutes are saved twice or lost.
Reset now
Open Settings > Activity.
Under Activity Period, choose Reset Activity Period.
Read the Confirm Activity Reset message and confirm.
The page shows the Last Reset date.
Automatic resets
Under Automatic Reset turn on the schedule, choose the Reset Day and the Frequency, and choose Save Schedule. Rosterr then resets for you on that day, so every period is the same length.
What a reset affects
Minutes, idle time and messages go back to zero.
Quotas start again. Each person's quota result for the period is saved first.
The Staff page shows both the current and Last Period columns (minutes, sessions hosted and attended) so you can compare.
The leaderboard can show the last period.
Goals are not reset: they run between their own dates.
Manual adjustments made before the reset belong to the old period.
A note on sessions still running
Sessions still in progress at the moment of the reset are saved with the period that ended. Rosterr does not split them. If this matters for you, reset when your game is quiet.
Past resets (newer workspaces)
Workspaces with the newer activity features keep a record of each reset (when, whether manual or scheduled, and how many records it moved) and show the last 20 in Settings.
