On a computer the menu is down the left-hand side. On a phone browser it is a bar along the bottom, with the less-used items under More. The iPhone and Android apps have their own tab bar (see "What you can do in the phone apps").
The menu items
Item | What it is for |
Home | Your landing page: greeting, sticky note from leadership, widgets such as your quotas and upcoming sessions. |
Wall | The workspace's message board. |
Activity | Your activity and the leaderboard. Quotas and goals are reached from here. |
Sessions | The schedule of shifts, trainings and events. |
Your Rosterr email inbox. | |
Tasks | To-do items for staff (if you have permission). |
Docs | Guides for staff, and Policies if your workspace uses them. |
Staff | The Staff page, Directory, Notices (leave) and Recommendations, depending on what you can open. |
Moderation | Cases and bans (only if the workspace has Moderation switched on and you have access). |
Applications | Job applications from Nebula Staffr (only if connected). |
Alliances | Partner groups (only if switched on). |
Settings | Workspace settings (only for admins and people with a settings permission). |
Why can't I see an item?
The menu is built from two things:
Your role's permissions. Most items need a permission, such as "View wall" or "View moderation". Ask an admin to check your role.
Which features the workspace has switched on. Alliances, Recommendations, Policies, Moderation and the leave allowance can each be switched off by an admin under Settings > Features. Guides (Docs) are on unless an admin switches them off. Mail needs a workspace admin to turn it on first.
Admins always see everything.
The Staff item
"Staff" is one menu item that leads to several pages. It opens the first page you can use out of the Staff page (views), the Directory, Notices and Recommendations. If you can only reach one of those, that is where Staff takes you.
The account menu
Your picture or the account menu holds your profile, notification settings, the app download page, the phone sign-in code and sign out. The (i) or Help menu holds Help and Support (the chat), the changelog and a way to report a problem. In workspaces that use white label branding (Business plan), the Nebula help button is hidden.
Notifications
The bell shows alerts such as "your leave was approved". Everything in the bell can also ping your phone. See "Notifications and pings: the bell, phone alerts and what you can switch off".
