See exactly where someone's minutes came from (activity breakdown)

The profile tab that lists every session and adjustment behind a total, so any number can be explained.

Written by Liam Radford

On workspaces with the newer activity features, a profile has an Activity breakdown tab.

What it shows

A list of every session and every manual adjustment in the period, built from the same rule as the totals, so the lines add up to the total shown above them. Use it to answer "why is my number lower than I expected?".

  • Each session shows when it started and ended, its length and its idle time.

  • Each adjustment shows who made it, how many minutes, and the reason if one was given.

How to read it

  1. Open the person's profile and choose the Activity breakdown tab.

  2. Look at the total at the top: that is the number the dashboard, leaderboard and quotas use.

  3. Scan the lines underneath. Sessions that ended add their length (minus idle time if idle tracking is on). A session that has not ended adds nothing yet. Adjustments add or remove minutes.

  4. Add the lines up. They always equal the total, because the same rule built both.

Typical questions it answers

  • "Why is my total lower than the time I played?" Idle time was subtracted, or a session has not ended yet.

  • "Where did these extra minutes come from?" Look for a Manual Adjustment line and its reason.

  • "Was my last session counted?" Look for its start and end. If it is missing, the loader may not have sent its end (ask a manager for an adjustment).

If a page says "The activity breakdown isn't available" the workspace does not have this feature yet.

Who can see it

The person themselves, and anyone with permission to view member profiles.
