Execute, revoke or delete a punishment

How to carry out a kick or ban, take a punishment back, remove a ban, and delete a case.

Written by Liam Radford

Execute a kick

On the dashboard or a case, choose Execute Kick. You need Execute punishments. The case is marked resolved, and the in-game module kicks the player if they are in a game with the module. A kick can only be executed once.

Execute a ban

Choose Execute Ban. You need Execute bans. Rosterr creates the ban, with the end date you set (or permanent), and marks the case resolved. The module then keeps the player out of your games (or only the places you chose).

Revoke a punishment

If a punishment was wrong, choose Revoke and enter a Revocation Reason. You need Revoke punishments. A reason is required. The case is marked revoked with who revoked it and why, and a ban is lifted. A case can only be revoked once.

Remove a ban directly

A ban can also be lifted by someone with Execute bans. The case stays as a record.

Delete a case

Choose Delete. You need Delete moderation cases. Rosterr warns you: "Are you sure you want to permanently delete this case? This will also remove any linked bans and evidence. This action cannot be undone." Only delete a case that was created by mistake. To undo a real punishment, revoke it instead, so there is still a record.

What is recorded

Every action (creating, editing, executing, revoking, deleting, adding or removing evidence) is written to the case's log with who did it and when.
