Tasks: a simple to-do list for staff

How to create, assign and complete tasks, what statuses and priorities exist, and who can do what.

Written by Liam Radford

Tasks track work that is not a session or a goal: "Update the staff handbook", "Order new uniforms", "Interview the three applicants".

What a task has

  • Title and optional description.

  • Status: To do, In progress or Done.

  • Priority: Low, Normal or High.

  • Due date (optional).

  • Assignee (optional): one person.

Use it

  1. Open Tasks in the menu.

  2. Choose to add a task, fill it in and save.

  3. Use the status filter to find what is open.

  4. Open a task to change its status, priority, due date or assignee.

Tips

  • Give each task one assignee so it is clear who owns it.

  • Use High priority sparingly.

  • Done tasks stay in the list. Filter them out to keep your view clean.
