There are two ways to sign in. The first is the normal way. The second is the backup if the first is not possible for you.
Method 1: Sign in with Roblox or Discord (the main button)
Open the app and choose Sign in with Roblox or Discord.
A secure browser window opens on the Rosterr website. Sign in with Roblox (if offered) or Discord, as you would on the website.
Tap Sign in on my phone.
The website hands you back to the app, and you are in.
Good to know:
The hand-back code is tied to a secret made by your app, so no other app that catches the link can use it. It lasts two minutes.
If your account only has Roblox linked and not Discord, you are sent on to link Discord first, and then you need to start again from the app. Every Rosterr account needs both.
Method 2: Sign in with a code (QR code or typed)
Use this if the browser window cannot sign you in, for example if your phone's browser has trouble with Discord.
On a computer or any browser, sign in to Rosterr.
Open your account menu and choose Sign in on your phone.
Choose Show QR code. A QR code and a 12-character code appear.
In the app, tap Scan QR code and point the camera at the screen, or type the 12-character code by hand.
The phone is signed in as you, and the website says "Signed in on the iPhone app".
How the code works
It lives for 90 seconds and can be used once. If it runs out, ask for a new one. Asking for a new code cancels the old one.
Typing and scanning do exactly the same thing. The QR code is just a camera-friendly copy of the text.
The camera is only used when you tap Scan QR code, and the picture is read on the phone itself. Nothing is saved or uploaded.
The website lists the last five phones you signed in this way.
You cannot make a code while someone from support is looking at your account, or if your account is blocked.
There is a limit on wrong guesses, so typing codes at random does not work.
How long you stay signed in
Like the website, a sign-in lasts about 30 days and renews as you use the app. Signing out in the app also removes that phone from your pings.
If it does not work
"Code not valid" or expired. Codes last 90 seconds. Make a new one and try again straight away.
The camera will not open. Allow the camera for Rosterr in your phone's settings, or type the 12-character code instead.
The browser window says you cannot sign in. Make sure you are using the Discord and Roblox accounts that are linked to your Rosterr account.
